It was written by author Rick Riordan and was published in 2006 in the United States, and in 2008 in Spain by the publisher Salamandra, as part of its Young Adult Fiction collection. It is the second book in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series and the sequel to The Lightning Thief.
This book tells the adventures of the demigod (the child of a god and a mortal) Percy Jackson, and follows how he and his friend Annabeth —another demigod— set out to rescue the satyr Grover from the cyclops Polyphemus and save the camp from a Titan’s attack. To do this, they must retrieve the Golden Fleece to heal Thalia’s poisoned tree. |
